Government of Zamfara state has denied budgeting nineteen billion naira for Governor Dauda Lawal’s kitchenware in the 2024 appropriation budget.
The State Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning, Abdulmalik Gajam, at a press conference in Gusau, described the news as false, baseless and mischievous
Mr. Gajam noted that the Dauda Lawal’s administration was voted to restore the lost glory of the state and that is on course and will never be distracted by the handiwork of what he described as enemies of progress.
He added that a government that cut costs and reduced its spending to save for the better future of the state cannot budget such an amount for the governor’s kitchen utensils
