The Arizona man accused of threatening to assassinate former President Donald Trump was arrested by Cochise County, Arizona, deputies on Thursday.
Ronald Lee Syrvud, 66, was nabbed by authorities while Trump was visiting Arizona to address the southern border crisis, News Nation correspondent Ali Bradley reported. Syrvud, who had an outstanding warrant for felony failure to register as a sex offender, was charged with a sex offender violation upon his arrest. Bradley reported that the 66-year-old man could also be charged for the alleged threats he made toward Trump, pending an investigation.
