Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-CT), a fierce opponent of former President Donald Trump, said on Thursday that Americans will be stunned by shocking failures that Senate investigators have uncovered about the Secret Service’s failure to protect Trump on July 13, 2024, when a would-be assassin nearly killed him at a political rally in Pennsylvania.
Blumenthal made the remarks while talking to reporters after Acting U.S. Secret Service Director Ronald Rowe gave members new information during a closed-door meeting about the investigation into the assassination attempt.
