Nigerian man Emmanuel Ihejirika, sentenced to death in Indonesia for drug trafficking, has been released after years in prison. His release was made possible by Washington, D.C.-based Nigerian lawyer Emmanuel Isha Ogebe’s pro bono efforts.
Ogebe believed Ihejirika’s case was a case of mistaken identity and worked tirelessly to bring it before Indonesia’s Supreme Court, securing his release in December.
