Jollof Rice: Arsenal Goalkeeper, Khari Ranson Sides Nigeria Against Ghana

Arsenal’s fast-rising goalkeeper, Khari Ranson, recently disclosed that he is of Nigerian and Ghanaian descent, with his father hailing from Nigeria and his mother from Ghana.

Khari Ranson, who currently represents England at the youth level, indicated that he is eligible to play for both Nigeria’s Super Eagles and Ghana’s Black Stars on the international stage.

In an interview with Arsenal’s official website published earlier today, September 13, the 17-year-old goalkeeper spoke fondly of his multicultural heritage, stressing that he had actively participated in the age-long jollof rice debate involving Nigerians and Ghanaians.

For years, some people from the two West African countries have always used various social media platforms to debate the country that prepares the best jollof rice.

Even though he is entitled to claim the two countries as his ancestral home, Khari Ranson stands firmly with Nigeria as far as the jollof rice debate is concerned.
