The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has distributed sensitive and non-sensitive materials for the governorship election in Edo state.
The election is scheduled for Saturday, September 21, across 18 LGAs in the state.
TheCable visited the headquarters of the electoral umpire and the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) office in Benin, the state capital, to observe the distribution of materials.
The bimodal voter accreditation system (BVAS), sealed ballot papers, and result sheets were the sensitive materials distributed to the supervisory presiding officers (SPOs).
Security operatives escorted the INEC officials to move the materials to the various LGAs.
Election observers, security officials, and party agents witnessed the distribution.
