The Presidential Initiative on Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) has distributed 1,000 vehicle conversion kits in Nigeria to help alleviate fuel subsidy removal. The initiative aims to convert around three million vehicles over three years, creating over 100,000 jobs. Commercial transport operators will receive free conversions to lower transportation expenses.
The distribution is being conducted under the codename “First Come, First Serve,” with 450 kits already allocated to various states and another 550 ready for distribution. The kits are designed to provide a cleaner and more cost-effective alternative to petrol.
