British actor Idris Elba cast as Okonkwo in upcoming ‘Things Fall Apart’ series adaptation

Idris Elba, known for his roles in Thor, The Suicide Squad, Pacific Rim, and Beasts of No Nation, is set to star in a TV series adaptation of Chinua Achebe’s classic novel, Things Fall Apart.

The adaptation, produced by American entertainment company A24, is still in its early stages and has yet to secure a streaming service or network. The character, Okonkwo, represents the tension between strength, vulnerability, and adaptability in literature.
