Gary Neville predicts Erik ten Hag’s imminent exit as Manchester United manager: You can’t be 14th after nine games

Manchester, October 28 — Former Manchester United manager and pundit Gary Neville has warned that current manager Erik ten Hag could face imminent dismissal if United’s poor run of form continues. Speaking on his podcast, Neville voiced concern after United’s recent 2-1 defeat to West Ham, which saw Jarrod Bowen seal the Hammers’ victory with a last-minute penalty.

Crysencio Summerville had initially given United hope with a goal in the 74th minute, but Casemiro’s equalizer wasn’t enough to secure a point. The defeat has left United languishing in 14th place with just 11 points from their first nine games, raising serious questions about Ten Hag’s future.

Neville emphasized that the pressure is mounting: “It will all come down to next weekend’s game against Chelsea. Another defeat at Old Trafford could be disastrous.”

The lack of consistency, goals, and overall performance has led to increasing speculation. “It’s getting to the point where the pressure could become unbearable,” Neville said, pointing to United’s low standing in the league as unacceptable. “You can’t be 14th after nine games.”
