Officials from the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) apprehended Jisos at Brix Academy in Abuja, where he was found pretending to be an observer for a non-governmental organization (NGO) while the exams were being monitored.
In a statement released by JAMB spokesperson Fabian Benjamin, the board disclosed that Jisos initially introduced himself to examination officials as an NGO representative, allegedly overseeing the UTME.
The court, presided over by Chief Magistrate Justice Folashade Oyekan, found Jisos guilty of impersonation, sentencing him to six months in jail, with the option to pay a fine of ₦100,000.
The statement partly read, “However, his deception was uncovered when he was questioned by the leader of the monitoring team in the examination hall, who asked him to clarify his purpose.
