Obaseki: ‘The Rule Of Law Must Stand’ – PDP, Gov Okpebholo Trade Words Over Alleged Civil Servants’ Sack

The Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, has dismissed the allegation of sacking civil servants employed during the administration of former Governor, Godwin Obaseki.

Naija News reports that the Edo State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), in a statement on Thursday through its caretaker spokesman, Chris Nehikhare, expressed disappointment over the ‘sacking’ of civil servants.

Nehikhare described the development as totally condemnable and unacceptable, stressing that many of the ‘dismissed workers’ were left in uncertain conditions, plunging numerous families and dependents into sudden disarray amid the current economic challenges.

He said the government’s harsh start shows it has no regard for the welfare of workers and citizens.
