KWASU: Kwara gov completes Osi, Ilesha campuses

Academic sessions are to begin at the Osi and Ilesha Baruba campuses of Kwara State University (KWASU) as the state government ramps up infrastructural development on the campuses.

Speaking with journalists during an inspection visit to Osi, the state commissioner for Tertiary Education, Dr. Mary Arinde, said that construction works in Osi town in the Ekiti local government, have reached 98 per cent completion and are ready for use as students resume full for the 2024/2025 academic session.

The commissioner said that completion of the two campuses is another promise fulfilled by Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, who she said had pledged not to abandon the projects whose skeletal works began under his predecessor.

“Students in the Department of Fine and Applied Arts under the new Faculty of Environmental Sciences are ready to begin lectures in Osi on Monday, November 18, while their counterparts from the Faculty of Agriculture are due in Ilesha Baruba Campus in January.
