The Chairman of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) in Osun State, Dr. Tosin Odeyemi, has submitted that the All Progressives Congress (APC) did not win the 2024 Ondo State governorship election fairly.
According to Odeyemi in a statement on Monday, the APC and its National Chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje, should not be carried away by the victory in Ondo.
The NNPP Chairman, who spoke against the backdrop of the statement by Ganduje after the Ondo election that the next target of the APC is to take over Osun, Oyo and the entire southwest states in future elections, said Osun is not Ondo.
Odeyemi added that Ganduje’s remarks are reckless and unbecoming of an elder statesman, especially given the current economic hardships Nigerians are enduring under the APC-led government.
According to Odeyemi, the APC allegedly engaged in vote-buying tactics, which he attributed to the deliberate impoverishment of the masses.
