Anambra govt confirms payment of N70,000 new minimum wage

The Anambra State Government has confirmed the implementation of the N70,000 minimum wage for its workers.

In a statement signed by the State Commissioner for Information, it was announced that Governor Charles Soludo has fulfilled the Federal Government’s directive for the new wage, aimed at improving the standard of living for workers.

The statement clarified recent media reports that excluded Anambra from the list of states already paying the new minimum wage, reaffirming the state’s commitment to workers’ welfare.

Governor Soludo’s administration began the payment in October 2024, ensuring that the promise of improved conditions for workers in the state was kept.
