Former Minister of Women Affairs, Uju Kennedy-Ohanenye, has returned to court after removal from President Bola Tinubu’s cabinet.
The former minister disclosed that she was in court to “support a four-year-old child who was allegedly defiled and sodomised by a teacher.”
Kennedy-Ohanenye is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association, and also serves as the CEO of Uju Kennedy-Ohanenye & Co, where she provides legal services to individuals and corporations.
She earned her Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka in 1996 and was admitted to the Nigerian Bar in 1997. She also holds a Master of Laws degree from the University of Abuja obtained in 2002.
However, in August 2023, she was appointed as the Minister of Women Affairs by President Bola Tinubu, succeeding Pauline Tallen.
Kennedy-Ohanenye, was however removed from the President Bola Tinubu’s cabinet in October 2024, along other former ministers.
The ex-minister was seen in a video shared via the X handle of The Cable, dressed in a court attire.
