President Bola Tinubu has appointed Jami’u Abiola as his senior special assistant (SSA) on linguistics and foreign matters.

Jami’u is a son of the late Moshood (MKO) Abiola, winner of the annulled June 12, 1993 presidential election.

Kudirat, his mother, was assassinated in her bid to reclaim the mandate of the annulled election.

George Akume, secretary to the government of the federation (SGF), announced Jami’u’s appointment in a statement issued Wednesday.

The appointment takes effect from November 14, Segun Imohiosen, director, information and public relations, SGF’s office, quoted Akume as saying.
