WhatsApp now allows you to add custom message to forwarded content

SAMMY FANS

WhatsApp is bringing a new feature that lets users add custom messages when forwarding any type of content. This feature is currently available to some beta testers with WhatsApp Android beta version 2.24.25.3 and will be available to more users in the coming weeks.

The new beta update brings the ability to add a message when forwarding any content like links, images, text messages, and documents. This makes it simpler to share content and clarify your intention.

Previously, you could only add a message when forwarding media files like photos or videos. Now, you can include a custom message to make it easier to give extra context or explanations to the recipient.

For instance, if you forward a news article link, you can add your thoughts or a summary of the article. Also, If you forward a text message, you can explain more about the message or add personal comments.

Currently, WhatsApp only allows users to add a message when forwarding media files like images, videos, and GIFs. If you want to explain something or give context for a text message or a link, you have to send a separate follow-up message. With this new beta update, WhatsApp starts testing a new feature, aiming to make the process easier.

This new feature is available to some users who have installed the WhatsApp beta update from the Google Play Beta Program. WhatsApp plans to roll out this feature to more users in the coming weeks, after its beta testing.

WhatsApp for Android lets you share complete sticker packs easily

Hey, Camila is here! From the very beginning, I love using Samsung phones like a die-hard fan. Apart from detailing One UI features for readers, I love exploring different apps of the Samsung ecosystem with a cup of tea!

WhatsApp has pushed a new beta update with version 2.24.25.2, which allows users to share entire sticker packs with friends and groups. This new option makes it much easier to send stickers without needing to send each one individually.

Currently, WhatsApp’s stable version only lets users send stickers one at a time, which is slow if you want to share a lot. Now, the app makes it much easier to send an entire pack at once, improving how users share their favorite stickers with others.

Users of WhatsApp Beta can now share complete sticker packs with just a few taps. To do this, open the sticker picker in a chat, tap the three-dot menu next to a sticker pack, and select the Share option.

For WhatsApp’s official sticker packs, sharing will send a link to the recipient, who can then download the pack directly from the sticker store. For third-party sticker packs (custom stickers), users can send the stickers directly in the chat, without needing to visit the store.

This update is useful for those who want to share large collections of stickers quickly. Instead of picking and sending each sticker individually, you can now share the whole pack at once, making the process faster and more fun.

The new sticker pack sharing feature is available to limited beta testers and WhatsApp plans to roll it out to more users in the coming weeks. If you’re a beta tester, you can try it by updating to WhatsApp version 2.24.25.2 through the Google Play Store.

WhatsApp Beta brings a fresh look with new light and dark themes

WhatsApp is rolling out a fresh beta update for Android users, which introduces new theme colors for both light and dark modes. The update is available to some beta testers through the Google Play Beta Program with version 2.24.24.30.

With the fresh update, WhatsApp Business brings a new look with updated accent colors. For the light theme, the app now uses black accents instead of the previous light blue. On the other hand, the dark theme features white accents.

These changes give the app a modern, sleek appearance and make it easier for users to show the difference between WhatsApp Messenger and WhatsApp Business.

Additionally, the WhatsApp Business app’s logo has been updated. The logo now simply reads “WhatsApp” instead of “WA Business,” reflecting the updated, minimalist design of the app.

This new design is similar to the update already seen on WhatsApp for iOS, where the light and dark theme colors were also changed. The change also makes the Business app visually distinct from the regular WhatsApp Messenger app.

The new theme colors are currently being rolled out to beta testers with WhatsApp Beta for Android. Not all users have access to the update yet, but more people will get it in the coming weeks.

WhatsApp rolling out Voice Message Transcripts feature for Android

WhatsApp has released a new feature named Voice Message Transcripts, which allows users to transcribe voice messages into text. This update, announced by Mark Zuckerberg, is now available in the latest WhatsApp for Android.

The voice message transcripts feature is a helpful tool for people who prefer reading over listening to messages, or for those in noisy places where listening to voice notes is difficult.
