The Middle Belt Forum (MBF) has expressed cautious support for the ongoing Tax Reform Bills, emphasizing the need for justice, fairness, and developmental impact among Nigeria’s federating units.
Speaking on behalf of the group, MBF National President Bitrus Pogu, highlighted the importance of thoroughly evaluating the bills to ensure they effectively address the nation’s socio-economic challenges.
Pogu who spoke with Punch, said, “When an aspect of something is being considered rather than the holistic view, you are likely to land into a problem and that is the issue with those opposed to the tax reforms bills.
“The problem they are having is the aspect of revenue sharing, which the bills seem to have tried to make commensurate with revenue generation. I think that is where the problem is.
