Fenerbahce manager Jose Mourinho has praised Super Eagles striker David Okereke for becoming the first player to score against three different teams under his management following Gaziantep’s 3-1 loss on Monday, PUNCH Sports Extra reports.
The Nigerian forward netted a first-half equaliser at the Ulker Stadium Sukru Saracoglu, adding to his previous goals against Mourinho’s Roma while playing for Venezia and Cremonese in Serie A.
“I congratulate David Okereke. He is the first player to score against all three teams that I managed. He scored against my teams while playing for Venezia, Cremonese and Gaziantep,” Mourinho told TRT Spor after the match.
Despite Okereke’s historic strike which cancelled out Oguz Aydin’s early opener, Fenerbahce secured victory through second-half goals from Rodrigo Becao and Edin Dzeko.
