PSC chair warns against bribery in police academy admission

The Chairman of the Police Service Commission, DIG Hashimu Argungu (retd.), has declared that any candidate caught attempting to bribe or compromise the ongoing admission process into the Police Academy, Wudil, Kano, will be immediately disqualified.

Argungu issued the warning during a supervisory visit to the academy, where he led a high-powered delegation to oversee the 2024 Post-JAMB admission screening process.

Speaking during the visit, the PSC Chairman stressed that the admission exercise must be conducted with integrity, fairness, and respect for equity.

A statement on Wednesday by the commission’s spokesperson, Ikechukwu Ani, said the chairman warned candidates against engaging in unethical practices, stating, “Any candidate negotiating to pay money for consideration should be weeded out. The process must run on merit and transparency.”
