Benue State Governor, Hyacinth Alia, has given civil servants in the state a Christmas gift – a two-week holiday to celebrate Christmas and New Year.
The holiday, which starts on December 24 and ends on January 6, 2025, was announced by the governor during a press briefing at the government house in Makurdi.
According to Governor Alia, the long holiday is intended to give workers the opportunity to spend quality time with their loved ones during the festive season.
The governor also urged the workers use the holiday to engage in farming activities.
