Keir Starmer opposes national inquiry into child grooming gangs amid Tory push for Commons vote

Keir Starmer is poised to block a national inquiry into child grooming gangs as the Conservative Party forces a vote on the proposal today.

The Prime Minister has instructed his MPs to oppose an amendment introduced by Kemi Badenoch that would initiate a new official investigation into the matter.

Given Labour’s significant majority in the House, it appears highly unlikely that the amendment will pass.

Sir Keir Starmer has been responding to an aggressive social media campaign led by US billionaire Elon Musk regarding the issue.
