Former Sokoto gov, Attahiru Bafarawa quits PDP

Former Governor of Sokoto State, Attahiru Dalhatu Bafarawa, has officially quit the major opposition party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

This is according to a resignation letter signed by the former Governor, dated January 13, and addressed to the acting national chairman of the party. The letter was obtained by our correspondent in Sokoto on Tuesday.

He said, “I write to formally tender my resignation as a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

“This decision, though deeply personal and difficult, is borne out of my commitment to a new chapter of service that aligns with my vision of uplifting humanity through empowering the youth.

“Over the years, I have been honored to be part of the PDP, a platform that has significantly shaped Nigeria’s political landscape and contributed immensely to nation-building.
