Niger State government has reiterated its commitment to the payment of the Parents, Teachers Association (P.T.A) fees on behalf of pupils in public primary and secondary schools across the state.
The State Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago, gave the promise while speaking in Sarkin Pawa, Munya local area of the state, when he visited the area on Thursday, 16th January 2025 (yesterday).
Bago maintained that the government had taken the responsibility of paying the P.T.A. fees of all pupils and students in public schools in the state, and asked parents and guardians not to pay PTA fees for their children and wards anymore.
He also cautioned Headmasters and Principals in public schools to stop collecting PTA fees from any school children, warning that anyone found wanting would be sanctioned accordingly.
