Enugu Govt Leases Out Nike Lake Resort

The Government of Enugu State and Landmark Group have signed a deal to develop Nike Lake Resort.

Naija News reports that the lease agreement is for 35 years. Landmark Group would invest at least ₦10 billion into revamping the popular lake in Enugu.

According to a statement from Governor Peter Mbah’s Media Aide, Dan Nwomeh, the deal was a joint venture in which the state government gave Nike Lake Resort as an asset, while Landmark would provide the management and operations of Nike Lake Resort.

Speaking during the deal-signing ceremony at the Government House, Governor Mbah, who described Nike Lake Resort as iconic, said his administration was intentional in choosing Landmark Africa Group, given its superlative pedigree and experience in the hospitality industry.
