Content creator and actress, Deka George has stated that not all Nigerian men engage in disrespectful behaviour.
In an interview with Sunday Scoop, she said, “Respect is a fundamental human right, and everyone deserves to be treated with dignity and respect, regardless of their physical appearance. Unfortunately, societal objectification and sexism can lead to biased treatment, including in Nigeria. Some individuals may view women with larger busts as objects of desire rather than as equals, leading to disrespectful behaviour. However, it is essential to recognise that not all Nigerian men engage in disrespectful behaviour. Many men in Nigeria, as in other cultures, value and respect women as individuals, regardless of their physical characteristics.”
Reflecting on her experiences in 2024, George described the year as bittersweet. She said, “2024 was a bittersweet year. It was both my best and worst year as a content creator….
