Police tell court Sowore will flee if granted bail, as they challenge legality of IGP’s actions

The Nigeria Police Force, NPF, has urged Federal Capital Territory, FCT, High Court to reject the bail application of activist and politician, Omoyele Sowore.

The police informed the Justice Musa Liman-led court that Sowore will run away during trial if granted bail.

Earlier, Justice Liman had stood down the cybercrime suit preferred against Sowore by the Inspector General of Police till 3 pm.

The judge stood down the matter following an oral application for bail by Sowore’s lawyer, Abubakar Marshall.

But, the police prosecution team argued that Sowore should not be granted bail…
