The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps has swiftly responded to a petroleum tanker accident at Guaraka along Kaduna Road, deploying tactical teams to prevent a potential fire disaster and control the situation.
Following the incident, the NSCDC immediately took action to secure the area and prevent fuel scooping, which could have led to a catastrophic explosion.
This was contained in a statement signed by the NSCDC spokesperson, Babawale Afolabi, on Saturday.
According to the statement, the emergency response team was led by Deputy Commandant General of Operations, Philip Ayuba, who emphasised the Corps’ commitment to disaster prevention and public safety.
Ayuba noted that the NSCDC acted on intelligence received about the fallen tanker, promptly dispatching teams to manage the situation.
