The Senator representing Ogun Central, Shuaib Salisu, has said that only education empowerment leaves behind lasting impact, than the distribution of items that could be sold off immediately.
He said this during an empowerment programme for over 1,000 secondary school students selected across the senatorial district.
The lawmaker said his gesture was to boost the morale of students, to face their studies for excellent results in their education.
Senator Salisu explained that the educational support materials included school bags, mathematical sets, exercise books, textbooks and past questions books.
He urged the students to focus on their education, be committed and always exhibit good character.
