Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, visited Kano State to console the families of 16 northerners who were killed by a mob in Uromi, Edo State. The victims were suspected of being kidnappers after local security personnel found homemade weapons in their vehicle, leading to the attack. Okpebholo condemned the killings and assured that justice would be served.
During his visit to the Kano State Government House, he met with Governor Abba Yusuf and reaffirmed President Bola Tinubu’s directive to arrest and prosecute those responsible. He emphasized, “Nobody has the right to take another man’s life.” Governor Yusuf commended Okpebholo for his swift action and highlighted the implementation of security measures to prevent retaliatory violence.
