The man, identified as Steven Daniel, was swarmed by honey bees and attempted to flee in his truck, but crashed in a nearby yard.
Eastland Police responded around 4:30 p.m. on April 27 and found Daniel still under attack inside the vehicle. “They observed the driver of the vehicle was being swarmed by bees,” officers told Eastland County Today.
Witness Chrishae Cooper told KTXS, “Next thing you know I look down and hear a loud boom and he’s in my parents front yard.” Officers pulled Daniel from the truck and into an ambulance, but he lost consciousness and later died at the hospital.
