The presenter, 49, who divides her time between London and Devon, shocked many after sharing a picture of her ironing board laden with freshly ironed towels on Twitter.
Hundreds were quick to respond with one branding the chore ‘the stuff of nightmares’ while others said it was a ‘complete waste of time’.

Sharing the picture of her household work on social media, the mother-of two wrote: ‘I have ironing to do’, followed by another of the completed piles of towels with the caption ‘Done!’.
But some people were completely baffled by the fact she was taking the time to create a smooth pile of linen that will be used to dry the dishes, with one commenting: ‘Who the heck irons towels or tea towels?!’
Another said: ‘Life is waaaay too short to be ironing towels!’
