SCORENigeria can exclusively reveal that Dutch giants Feyenoord are in the front row to sign Golden Eaglets star striker Ahmed Abdullahi.
Nasarawa-born Abdullahi came off the bench to score twice for the Golden Eaglets in a 3-2 loss in the final of the U17 AFCON WAFU B qualifiers in Togo recently.
The centre-forward, who was listed as from HB Academy Abuja and he will be 17 in June, has since grown into the goals machine of the Eaglets so much so he was widely tipped as one of the players to watch before the U17 AFCON in Morocco was shockingly canceled.
A top team official told SCORENigeria: “The interest by Feyenoord for the boy is concrete.
“It would even have been finalised long ago, but those behind it were not interested in working with the boy’s agent, who is based in London.”
The drama around the youngster took another twist when his father and uncle whisked him away from the Eaglets training camp.
They also ensured they took possession of his international passport.
