Nigeria has joined list of countries developing COVID-19

The presidential task force on COVID-19 said Nigeria has joined the list of countries developing COVID-19 vaccines with two candidates currently awaiting clinical trials.

This was disclosed earlier today by the Secretary to the government of the federation, Boss Mustapha during the PTF national briefing in Abuja.

Now recall that the minister of Health, Osagie Ehanire on January 18 had announced the approval of N10 billion to support local production of COVID-19 vaccines.

Speaking on the latest development on local vaccine production, Mustapha called for collaboration among relevant agencies to ensure that the effort is successful.
