The Kano state emergency management agency (KASEMA) says it will work with the ministry of environment to ensure all waterways are cleared to prevent flooding in the state.
Saleh Jili, executive secretary of the agency, said this at the state capital on Saturday.
“The agency is doing everything possible to collaborate with the state ministry for environment to ensure all major waterways are cleared, especially the dams,” he said.
According to Jili, the agency will also provide the needed support to protect lives and property from the impact of heavy rainfall.
