INEC suffers 41 attacks in two years

The Independent National Electoral Commission INEC said it has suffered no fewer than 41 violent attacks in the last two years.

Chairman of the Commission, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu disclosed this Thursday in Abuja during the rescheduled emergency meeting of the Interagency Consultative Committee on Election Security ICCES held at the INEC headquarters.

According to him, INEC will be creating 2,674 centres for the Continuous Voter Registration CVR, an exercise that will require 5,346 officials and greater security.
