South-East deserves death, not Presidency — Bulkachuwa talks tough

The Chairman Senate Committee on Foreign Relations, Senator Adamu Bulkachuwa, has said “people who feel democracy is not good enough for them” and want to destroy the country if “they don’t have their wish,” deserve death and not the Presidency they clamor.

Bulkachuwa who is from Bauchi State, and is husband to the president of the Court of Appeal (PSA), Justice Zainab Bulkachuwa, described the South East as home to criminals, arsonists, and rebels who deserve to be eliminated.

His wife, Justice Zainab, was forced to recuse herself from the presidential election petition Tribunal in 2019, after the PDP raised issue of her husband’s APC membership.

The Senator made this abhorrent remark on CHANNELS TV, where he also said zoning is undemocratic and unconstitutional.

He said, “There are people who feel democracy is not good enough for them and they want to devise their own means of belonging to this entity called Nigeria and if they don’t have their wish, they’ll let Nigeria go to pieces.

“So is that anything that the constitution allows or encourages? So they’re absolutely outside the realm of the constitution.
