LONDON: The jobs outlook in the UK is accelerating at its fastest pace for 20 years as the hospitality sector struggles to find enough staff, recruitment firm ManpowerGroup said today.
“The employment outlook has seen the sharpest quarter-on-quarter increase since 2002,” noted Chris Gray, director, ManpowerGroup UK, after the company compared the current second quarter with the outlook for July to September.
The recruiter said the third-quarter outlook stood at plus 8%, a 13-point increase from April-June.
That would be the second-strongest growth in Europe after Ireland, it added, noting that 1,764 UK employers had been surveyed.
