Thousands of migrants will be permitted to come to the US to renew their asylum requests, the Department of Homeland Security said, offering them a second chance as the White House overhauls border rules set under President Trump.
Asylum seekers whose requests were denied under a Trump-era policy will be allowed to return to the US to have another shot, the DHS said on Tuesday.
