A fat rat caused a huge chaos and panic during a session of the parliament of Andalusia, southern Spain.
The rat took to the floor of the parliament prompting some deputies to stand up on chairs inside the hall.
The rat broke into the hall at a time when lawmakers were scheduled to vote on appointing the Socialist politician Susana Diaz to the Senate for the southern region of Spain.
Marta Bosquet Aznar, the President of the Parliament, was the first person to spot the rat, gasping and covering her mouth.
The fat rat caused a commotion in the lower tier.
Once the commotion was over, the legislators returned to their duties and Susanna was approved for the Senate.
Eyewitnesses told local media that the rat was a fat one.
