A student of the Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka has cried out after a male lecturer (name withheld) assaulted a fellow female for not wearing Ankara dress to the school hall.
Naija News reports that the female student, who is yet to be identified was inflicted with strains of blood visible on her body.
Sharing a video of the injury, the student, Ginikachukwu, via social media inquired if it was ethical for university lecturers to hit students.
She also added that, she has with other students endured a lot of assaults from her departmental lecturers.
The video shared on Instagram was captioned; “They have killed us in economics department #Unizik oooo… How many suffer wey we go suffer for this school? Why and where on earth is it ethical to hit a student at all? Not to talk of to this extent… It was a male lecturer of Unizik that did this. He should release my shoe shaa let me go home”
