Leicester City have had a £15 million bid for Southampton defender Jannik Vestergaard accepted.
The two clubs have been in talks over a possible sale, with the Foxes submitting their first offer this morning. It’s understood the initial fee is £14m, which can rise to £15m if certain add-ons are met.
There is also the chance it goes beyond that if Leicester qualify for the Champions League. Brendan Rodgers’ side finished fifth last season.
The Foxes have had a long-standing interest in Vestergaard and have been assessing their options following the injury to Wesley Fofana.
Fofana, 20, has been ruled out until 2022 with a medial ligament injury.
