LAGOS – The South East Revival Group (SERG), a pan-Igbo sociopolitical pressure organisation, has asked the Federal Government to stop harassing Igbo while demanding the immediate release of socialite and business tycoon, Obinna Iyiegbu, popularly known as Obi Cubana.
The group, which questioned the rationale behind the arrest of Obi Cubana by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), alleged that the Igbo have been unfairly treated and targeted by the President Muhammadu Buhari administration.
Chief Willy Ezugwu, SERG President and National Coordinator, who cited the cases of Ifeanyi Ubah and Ayim Pius Ayim, posited that Obi Cubana was targeted because of the Anambra State governorship election on November 6, based on his popularity.
