Norwich City have sacked their manager Daniel Farke despite their 2-1 victory over Brentford on Saturday. The Canaries recorded their first win of the Premier League season at the Community Stadium courtesy of goals from Mathias Normann and Teemu Pukki.
It lifted them momentarily off the bottom of the table ahead of Newcastle’s trip to Brighton, and it had looked as though their season was just about to get up and running with Farke.
But on Saturday evening the club confirmed that the German had ruthlessly been handed his marching orders after four-and-a-half years in charge.
A statement on their official website read: “Norwich City can confirm that head coach Daniel Farke has left the club with immediate effect.
