Aiteo Eastern Exploration and Production Company (AEEPC) said high-pressure effusion is preventing a team of personnel from plugging the wellhead leak around its OML 29 Southern oilfield at Santa Barbara in the Nembe Local Government Area of Bayelsa State.
The oil firm also said that its senior personnel had also visited the affected communities, including Opu-Nembe Kingdom, and provided relief materials to mitigate the direct consequences of the incident.
