Burnley’s Premier League clash with Tottenham has been postponed after Storm Arwen covered Turf Moor in a layer of snow.
The pitch was inspected prior to kick-off at 2pm this Sunday and the surface was deemed too dangerous to play on.
Tottenham took to Twitter to announce the match was off with a tweet reading: “We can confirm that today’s match against Burnley has been postponed due to adverse weather conditions.”
Burnley later tweeted: “Due to concerns with the playing surface and surrounding areas, it’s been deemed that the game can’t go ahead safely.”
Burnley boss Sean Dyche had been pictured inspecting the pitch with the referees this Sunday morning.
