According to The PUNCH, The President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), has asked the National Assembly to remove the clause that has to do with direct primaries from the Electoral Act Amendment Bill.


President Muhammadu Buhari has declined assent to the 2021 Electoral Act Amendment bill, stating that signing it into law would cause trouble among the political parties in the country, Vanguard reports


President Muhammadu Buhari, who declined assent to the bill, hinged his refusal on political, moral and constitutional factors. The Nation reports that in his letter to the national Assembly, the President explained that he reject the bill, following consultations and advice from relevant ministries, department and agencies.


According to This Day, Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu yesterday signed a N137.3 billion 10-year bond to finance key infrastructural projects in the state. At 13 per cent, the debt instrument is under the N500 billion fourth debt series expected to run between 2021 and 2031.
