'Arresting De General, a waste of taxpayers' money' – Basketmouth taunts NDLEA

Basketmouth, the Nigerian comedian, says the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) wasted taxpayers’ money by arresting De General, the skit maker, over a pinch of weed.

Following the arrest of De General on Wednesday, the NDLEA said it recovered some cannabis sativa, 225mg worth of tramadol, and some paraphernalia for drug use during a search of the skit maker’s home in Lekki, Lagos.

Speaking in a comic video via his Instagram, Basketmouth taunted the NDLEA while describing the raid as a waste of taxpayers’ money.

He also said he thought the agency would find really incriminating evidence at Dr General’s home given that the raid occurred around midnight…
