In a post made on October 3, Evelyn Anite, the Ugandan State Minister of Finance for Investment and Privatization, confirmed that she took back an ambulance she had donated to Koboko municipality in northern Uganda after losing an election in 2021.
She made the clarification in response to a post made by Isima Odeh’s Africa Facts Zone on Wednesday. Backing up her response with a Bible verse, Anite explained that the community reaped what it sowed by not voting for her.
“Thank you for bringing this up. First, it’s true I took back my ambulance & I have no apologies for that. Why did I do it? It’s because they didn’t vote for me. So did you expect me to walk away with nothing? Galatians 6:7 A man reaps what he sows,” Anite said in her tweet.
