The restriction, effective immediately, follows a state government ban on political rallies and unregulated gatherings, with violators facing arrest and prosecution.
Monday emphasized that public safety remains a top priority, warning against actions that could disrupt peace. “The safety of our people is paramount. We will not allow any situation that could jeopardise the peace and stability of our communities,” he stated. The move comes amid efforts to curb potential unrest in the region.
